New Online Chat Feature Released

Those of you who’ve been around me for while know full well I’m all about instant gratification. Surely that comes partly from the genes I got dealt, and partly from growing up and living in the USA all my life, especially in NYC.  To me, customer service is a real-time deal. So you won’t be surprised to hear that I love it when a site has an instant chat feature on it. Being able to reach a human being instantly as opposed to sifting through endless web pages to get at a simple piece of information is something I simply can’t resist.

Because of this, we decided to try it out on our own website at Marvin. So I got our friends at Netinfluence to integrate Meebo with our main site page. As usual, they whipped that out in about 15 minutes – I did have time to finish an iced tea :) – So when you hit the website, if you feel the need to talk to a live person, you can click the chat button on the bottom right and get connected pronto. Why would you want to do that? Perhaps you have a product question. Maybe an inquiry about an order or an availability question. Even a question about a vintage Marvin piece. Better yet, you might have a suggestion on how we can improve something? Or maybe you’re just lonely and want to chat with yours truly about horology in general :)

Now, given our worldwide reach, the numerous time zones involved, and our limited resources, we won’t be able to initially staff this live chat 24/7. If the program turns out to be effective (and popular) we’ll see about kicking it up a notch. Right now, when someone is available, the chat feature will connect you. When no one’s around, it will say so, but you can always leave a message on Meebo or email us at chat@marvinwatches.com

That’s about it folks. Give it a shot. Reach out and touch us (sorry AT&T for lifting your mantra) and let us know what you think.
