Hello everyone, and thanks for visiting the new Marvin blog. We want to engage in direct conversation with you, our customers, our fans, and the watch community at large. In the traditional horology world, this is an unusual approach. But there’s nothing “usual” about Marvin. So let me explain why we started a blog, what we’re going to do with it, and why you should care about it.

Why did we start a blog?

We started a blog as part of our new community-focused strategy. You may have noticed, it’s called “Backstage”. Why? Because we’re going to lift the covers on what goes on behind the curtains of horology. We will give you unique glimpses into the many facets of the watch world both within and without Marvin. In a traditionally “sealed” and secretive industry, we’re going to open some windows and let a little sun shine in. More importantly, it’s not really our blog, but yours. We see it as a dynamic exchange between Marvin and the community at large. We hope to find all sorts of folks participating from collectors to owners, fans, watch aficionados and newbies, industry figures, and anyone interested in horology and its inner workings.

What are we going to do with it?

Hopefully inform and entertain you. We’re going to start by covering several categories including:

• Marvin News – General company news and “Hot off the Press” items
• Under the Hood – Technology and engineering behind watches
• Collector’s Corner – All about vintage and antique Marvins in the world
• People & Watches – Celebrity watch spotting and industry movers and shakers
• Trends – Fashion and luxury trends in watches

As time goes by, and based on your feedback, we will add or modify categories as needed.

Why should you care?

Well, because we say so, of course! – Just kidding – Because you’ll be entertained and informed. And because it’s an opportunity to interact live with the watch world in an informal and relaxed setting. It’s a quick, seamless way to talk with us about Marvin and have your feedback immediately matter. We will not moderate or filter comments in this blog. It’s also a great way to meet fellow watch lovers, to share knowledge and experience, and give back to the community. No matter where you sit in the horology spectrum, novice, expert, collector, or industry mogul, there will always be something waiting for you here behind the curtains at Backstage.
